Did you know that MSN is the most used chat program in the United States of America? If you didn’t know this detail until know, then it’s time for you to install this awesome program on your PC or on your laptop.
You can find this chat program on the official site of MSN. You will not have to pay anything to download it, because you can do that for free. If you have a fast connection of the Internet, then in less than 1 minute you will have the icon for the installation on your desktop. After this executable program was downloaded, then you can start the installation process. This process will also take less than 2 or 3 minutes depending on how fast is working your computer.

MSN status

After you’ve finished installing this program, you will have to make an account or an id. This means that you will have to choose a nickname that you will use to log into this program. An advantage is that you can also choose to make an e-mail address with the same nickname that you will use to sign into this chat program. You will not have to pay anything, because these services are for free.

MSN status info

The next step is to log in and stat getting informed about the options that are available. You can do that just with the simple click on the help button that you will see in the bar that the program is having above.
I will tell you some things that will be very useful for you. Ask your friends if they have an account for MSN and in this way you will be able to add them in your MSN chatting program’s list. In this way you will be able to stay in touch with all of your friends using your Internet connection. You will find above your MSN list a box in which you can write your desired status. There are also few statuses already available such as: “busy”, “not available” which you can choose to have when you are not available to chat. Your friends will see your status and they will not disturb you.

Using MSN for chat, you can go online and offline whenever you want. This means that whenever you will have the time to chat with your friends, you can use this program. There is also an option which you can use if you want to stay invisible. The invisible option gives you the opportunity to see who is online and who is offline and to chat online with the friends that you want to. You should take in consideration the fact that if you choose to stay invisible, no one will see you online in their MSN list.

If you already are a user of the MSN services then you must know that you can check if some is invisible. There are many web sites which are offering to their clients the possibility to check the status of certain persons. On these web sites, you will only have to introduce the person’s nickname and then click on a button. After 2 or 3 seconds the site will tell you if the person is online, offline or if he is using the invisible mode. Almost all of these MSN status detecting web sites are called MSN status checker. You can use them anytime you want and don’t worry, because no one will know what nicknames you have checked.
The advantage of using MSN status checkers is that if you urgently need to talk with a certain person who doesn’t appear online in your MSN list, on these web sites you can find if they are online but invisible or if they are offline. If the checking’s result is invisible, then you can try to start a conversation with that certain person. You should also take in consideration the fact that usually those who are using the invisible mode don’t want to be disturbed or they are not in the mood for chatting.

Using a MSN status checker you will also be able to check your friends status when you are not using the MSN chat programs. If you have in your mind a person’s nickname then you will only have to type it on one of the web sites that I’ve told you about and you will know his status. These services are for free, so don’t think that you will have to pay for using them. They are also very safe, so be sure that your PC will not be affected in any way.

I use MSN to chat every night, and usually there are no problems. I generally chat for four or five hous per night, and I often forget that I’m actually relying on another company for my chatting pleasure. I mean, what would happen if for some reason MSN suddenly was not working? What if they had a network outage and suddenly I couldn’t chat with my friends and family (many of whom live overseas?). Well actually, that happens sometimes…

Current MSN status

If I ever have a problem logging on to MSN (when I say MSN I mean MSN messenger or Windows Live Messenger, not the Live Spaces or Hotmail which I believe run on different servers), then I always go to one website to check the overall network server status page. Here it is:

https://support.msn.com/eform.aspx?productKey=passportform&ct=eformts

If you ever go to that site you can see a number of network messages, including the best one – The server is working normally and there are no problems!

Sometimes, however, the MSN status can not be reported on a ‘global’ scale (such as on the website which I just quoted). You must have been in the position (as I have) where you’re chatting with a friend and then suddenly every message you send starts returning a familiar message: ‘Your message could not be sent’. I have been in the position before when I have been having extremely important conversations on MSN when this error appeared and I could do nothing but log off and log on again. I’m pretty convinced that this is the only way of dealing with such a problem – to log off and wait. If you check the network problems website when you experience this type of problem they will always report that there is no issue, even though you KNOW that there is.

One final MSN status issue is where yo uchange your update message or MSN name and then save it – ok, no problem so far? But then – when you log off and go to a different computer, you will notice that sometimes your settings (like your profile picture, status message or MSN name) has not ‘followed’ you to your new location. There is also no way of checking the status of this ‘names server’ because it is on a different computer from the logon servers, so unfortunately you’ll just have to wait and change your info manually. It sucks, but it’s the only way.

Ok, that’s all the advice from me for now – I’ll be back with more MSN status info later!

There seems to be a big difference between my MSN status and that of other people. When I look down my MSN list (and as I mentioned before, I have more than 400 people on it) I feel like I use the software for very different reasons than other people! Let me give you some examples of different types of MSN status, and you can decide:

What’s your MSN status?

The romantic MSN status
Ok, I appreciate that a lot of people have girlfriends and boyfriends, and I admit also that I am a bachelor. But still – I can only accept so many people writing things like ‘I’ll wait for you forever’ and ‘I love you more than life itself’ or ‘If I had to choose between you or my sight then I would turn off the lights forever’ (I swear, that was one of the MSN statuses that I’ve read before on my list). It’s really troubling! So anyway, yeah, some people like to get extremely mushy on their MSN. Why don’t they just send the person that they want to talk to a message instead of broadcasting it to the world? Exactly.

The witty MSN status
This type of status message is one strange one (but it is quite cool) – it’s when people put funny quotes or phrases in their MSN status (usually in quotes). They’re not jokes, but they are puns or other witty phrases which make people read them, wait for a few seconds and then laugh a bit. I know, it’s hard to exaplain but they are really cool. I’ll give some examples of them soon, but for now, just believe me, ok?!

The funny MSN status
This type of MSN update is a straight up joke – a one-liner or a quote which is a great joke which can make people laugh. Usually this type of funny MSN status can give you a very good insight into the mind of the person on your MSN list. If they’re telling a joke about why the chicken crossed the road then you know they might be a few apples short of the basket…

The crazy MSN status
This type of MSN status is one which includes some sort of crazy text ☺! I know what you’re thinking – it’s impossible to put emoticons in an MSN or Live Messenger status – but wait! You can put some sorts of status symbols or characters into your updates! Just by using the ‘alt’ keys on your keyboard, you can add music notes, weather icons, horoscopes and more. I’ll give a full how-to later.

I just like to sometimes put what I’m doing, or links to my websites. I feel that putting too much effort into your MSN status can mean that you’re a bit of a strange person – maybe I’ll start experimenting soon. What do you use your MSN status for? Let me know!

Hello everyone, and if you’re reading this then welcome to my new MSN status website. This site is going to try to fulfill a wide range of your needs, from security and peace of mind to amusement and fun. What do I mean? Let me show you.

MSN Status

Funny MSN status
One of the passions in my life is using Windows Live Messenger (MSN) and their chat program. I use the downloaded version as well as the online version, and I have hundreds of friends (who I’ve collected over the years). I use emoticons, symbols and winks to communicate with them, as well as webcam conversations and also audio only chats. I spend about 10 hours a day on MSN (because at my work we are allowed to log on to the network for ‘networking’ purposes), so I’m quite an expert. This large amount of usgae means that I have also seen a huge amount of funny MSN statuses from friends of mine and colleagues – so I have decided to share them with you (if I find them) and try to explain why they’re funny to me (as well as how you can use them yourself!)

MSN status checker
I hope to be able to provide an MSN status checker for my readers, so that they can always know whether the Microsoft Live network is up or down. I know there is nothing more frustrating than being in the middle of one (or ten) chats and then suddenyl you get disconnected and you can’t log back on to MSN. It’s terrible. I have also been in the frustrating position of sending messages to the same users repeatedly, only to be greeted by the ‘Your message was not sent’ error, which is perhaps one of the most enraging MSN status messages possible. So, anyway, I will attempt to keep you guys informed of the health of the entire MSN Live network.

MSN status check
One of the other possibilities of this site (and one more service which I fully intend to give you readers) is the ability to check whether your friends on MSN have removed your from their lists or not (blocking or deleting you). I have had many occasions where people who I thought were my friends have suddenly turned on me and ‘disappeared’ from my list, but by using a range of online tools I have discovered that actually they had deleted me (or had changed their MSN status to ‘invisible’). I can’t stand this type of person, so I want to protect you from them too!

- MSN status symbols
You’ve all seen how people use amazing symbols in their MSN statuses instead of emoticons. I’m talking about things like music note symbols, peace symbols sunshine symbols and more. I’m going to provide a full range of these special MSN characters so that you can use them in your MSN statuses and chats – and all for free!

Ok, I look forward to writing more in the future, but for now, why don’t you update your MSN status with my website address!
